“The September Issue” New York Screening - Model's Night Out

Monday, August 31, 2009

When our beloved runway shows end, the editorials we wait for each and every month for are shot, and the ad campaigns that draw us in have run their course, you may think that our model favorites finally have a moment to their self. While it's true to some extent, the ball is always rolling in fashion and an event in need of our towering stunners is in place.

This time, the New York Premiere of the documentary "The September Issue". A film in which you are given a behind the scenes look at the making of the September 2007 issue of American Vogue. Along with an unprecedented view of the blood, sweat, and tears that goes into undoubtedly fashion's most noted magazine.

With the issue itself featuring models such as Raquel Zimmermann, Coco Rocha, and numerous others, it was no surprise that the girls would show up at the event (excluding Coco and a few others in this instance). Bringing to the table some of what they picked up whilst working the shows that leave you glued to Style.com and NY Mag, the secret stars of the night ditch the sometimes necessary added extras brought on from the runway and display raw & natural personal style at it's best.

I actually love Hilary Rhoda's number, though not on her. Karlie and Chanel look divine! Emily Didonato's dress is cute, too.
