Whether you loved it or hated it then, one of the season’s most desired trends isn’t just a bag or shoe, but a whole decade. The 80s that is. From the wild and crazy prints, to the shoulders that can seemingly put any eye at risk, the period that some seem to regret and others seem to love lives again. When Marc Jacobs first presented his fall collection at the start of fashion week, we should have then realized that we had this coming. Continuing onto London, Milan, and Paris; what would normally have been considered tasteless has gained a new modern spin.
At Dolce & Gabbana, the designers traded in the not too elegant sweatband which were popular at the time, for a simple and chic black headband. Creating for a message that read as a return of femininity and female empowerment. Which appears to be much needed today. The sky-high platforms and over the knee boots seen at Roberto Cavalli, Prada, Nina Ricci, and Gucci can also aid creating a not so prude modern woman. But one that noticeably becomes the life of the party in grey times.
Though the eighties may seem to be a hard thing to conquer, a few slight changes to your personal sense of style might not be so difficult this season.

The red heels are tdf, and the red lips are perfection
I couldn't agree more: It's all about the 80's baby. The bold shoulders were the key nostalgic trend for the season, along with the blinding pops of colour from some designers.
I can't get over the completeness of look for this season. What I mean by that is how many looks that came down the runway were finished head-to-toe looks (head piece, jewelery, top/dress, bag, bottoms/tights/leggings/, shoes boots. Nothing was left to the imagination which I appreciate. I like seeing what brilliant designers want us to see by leaving nothing for interpretation.
